In the early 1990s, ddm worked with two adjoining churches, SFDS and Ebenezer Ministry, to turn a large L-shaped lot facing 100th Street and Lexington Avenue, filled knee-deep with garbage, into a neighborhood garden and playground. With financial assistance from the Astor Foundation and other private donors including Stuart Myers, we leased the land, cleaned, greened and furnished the park.
